RESEARCH EXPERIENCE OF ELECTRICAL DRIVES CHARACTERISTICS OF UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE BY MEANS OF ELECTROMECHANICAL SIMULATION OF AERODYNAMIC FORCES |

Parts of methods and results of experimental research of electrical rudder drive characteristics in form of drive compartment of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) “ground-to-air” class, made at NIO-602 laboratory of MAI using electromechanical test bench for simulation of aerodynamic forces are considered. Frequency responses of rudder drive are investigated under simulation of aerodynamic forces corresponding to flight conditions by purposes of UAV’s aeroelastic stability providing. Measure and control part of test bench is developed on basis of National Instruments technologies. It is shown that the use of modern methods of automation for research and testing allows multiparameter studies of electrical drives of UAVs in order to meet the challenges of aeroelastic stability and safety from flutter, including using seminatural simulation methods for aerodynamic effects. Experience of using electro-mechanical simulation for drives can also be used in studies of aeroelastic stability of all UAVs with an automatic control system.
